Previsco have a mission to minimise the effect of flooding globally, by enabling people and organisations to prepare and act to prevent its impacts.
The talented professors at Loughborough University developed an advanced platform that combines forecasting and monitoring technology to forecast the types of floods that catch people off guard in advance, enabling users to confidently prepare for, respond to, and mitigate flood impacts—including surface water flooding.
I was tasked by the team to enhance the platform’s UI and UX, ensuring ease of use for clients like insurance companies and emergency services, where end users might not be flood experts. Collaboratively, we designed an alerts system and a dashboard to flag at-risk assets in advance and simplified the 48-hour flood map view for clear, actionable insights.

Three Core Services in One, User-Friendly Tool
Previsico’s unique platform integrates multiple data sources, allowing users to easily customise and view critical flood information. Given its advanced capabilities, it was essential to design a simple, intuitive interface familiar to users of other applications, ensuring seamless navigation and accessibility.

Product Launch
To launch the platform once they had completed the core product we designed a simple scrolling one page website. Although this website has been updated now as the company has grown some of the original illustrations done remain with more added to explain the services.
Case Studies and Forecast Showcase Reports
Building on the platform’s evolving brand identity, I designed a series of printed reports to support the sales and services teams. These reports demonstrated the effectiveness of the flood modeling system, showcasing case studies where it could have predicted and alerted users to flooding events. The reports highlighted how timely actions could mitigate damage to assets and property, ensuring people’s safety and illustrating the platform’s real-world impact.

Simple, Effective Illustrations
To support product presentations, sales pitches, and the website, I created a series of clean, flat illustrations that clarify key platform features, such as 48-hour flood modeling and email alert notifications. These visuals have proven highly effective and are now used across the website, printed reports, and advertising materials, enhancing communication and brand cohesion.

A Winning Team
Previsico has become a leading force in flood prediction and monitoring, offering early warnings that empower organisations and communities to minimise flood impacts. Their cutting-edge Flood Intel Platform fills critical gaps in flood alerts, particularly for surface water and smaller systems. Being part of this vital project has been incredibly rewarding, and I’m proud to have contributed to a service that makes a real difference in safeguarding lives and assets.
